With the support of The John A. Hartford Foundation and GAPNA, the UCLA Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care program developed The Dementia Care Specialist (DCS) Curriculum. This 22-module online curriculum provides a basic knowledge base for Advanced Practice Nurses who are looking to advance their expertise in caring for patients with dementia.

GAPNA Exchange is a private, secure online community for members to share ideas, ask questions, lend expertise, and network with peers. The community features both an Open Forum discussion area along with smaller, segmented communities. Now, you can interact with GAPNA members wherever and whenever you need to.

The GAPNA Foundation is pleased to announce that our 2019 grants are open for applications. You may apply for these grants on the GAPNA website. Applications are due by May 15, 2019, and the winners will be announced during the Awards Luncheon at the GAPNA Annual Conference in Las Vegas.

Nominations are now being accepted! Applications are accepted March 1 through June 1 every year. The nominations are tallied in July and the winners are announced every year during the Awards Celebration at the GAPNA Annual Conference. Self-nominations are invited.

Please share this letter with your representatives and ask them to complete the form signing them on to the letter. Title VIII funding is critical to support the nursing workforce demand; including education, practice, recruitment and retention. The deadline is March 21st so please act today.
