GAPNA created this monograph to chronicle the significant events and milestones that shaped both the association and the identity and role of the Nurse Practitioner in the care of older adults. Spanning over 100 years, it covers topics from the very origins of elder care as a specialty to the ever-increasing role of GAPNA in advancing that specialty.
