Hiboombe Haamankuli, DNP, ACNP-BC, is a dedicated nurse practitioner, educator, and healthcare leader with nearly two decades of experience. After earning his bachelor’s degree in nursing from Jacksonville State University, he completed his graduate and doctoral studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Alabama, specializing as an acute care nurse practitioner.
As a hospitalist NP, Dr. Haamankuli provides evidence-based care to acutely ill patients and is committed to improving patient outcomes through collaborative, interprofessional practice. At the UAB School of Nursing, he coordinates the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program and oversees the education of more than 100 students, implementing innovative teaching methods that have garnered national and international recognition through publications and presentations.
In addition to his clinical and educational work, Dr. Haamankuli serves on the executive board of the Nurse Practitioner Alliance of Alabama, advocating for nurse practitioner practice across specialties throughout the state. His work is driven by a commitment to transformative education, collaborative care, and advancing healthcare excellence.
