Members share evidence-based practices, clinical innovations, and resources to improve geriatric care across diverse settings, including community clinics, private practices, and academic environments.
Goals:
- Support APRNs in delivering high-quality primary care to older adults.
- Position GAPNA as a leading resource for excellence in geriatric primary and ambulatory care.
- Foster leadership, mentorship, and professional development.
Objectives:
- Share geriatric-focused guidelines and preventive care resources.
- Promote best practices in chronic disease management, polypharmacy, dementia care, falls prevention, transitional care, and the 5Ms framework.
- Provide targeted educational opportunities, including conference sessions, "Day in the Life" presentations, and CE packages with flexible "On-Demand" options.
- Strengthen member engagement through collaboration, resource sharing, and outreach.
- Educate on Medicare billing and coding relevant to primary care.
