New Chapter Name and a Fresh Perspective

By Heidi Mari Loewe

Hello from the GAPNA Wisconsin Chapter!

It’s a new year, new name, and a fresh perspective! The SEW (South East Wisconsin) GNP name changed to Wisconsin GAPNA Chapter.

The new name is a better representation of the chapter with the goal of expanding our footprint to reach more advanced practice nurses statewide. Small changes will make a big impact!

After a COVID limited year in 2020, the Wisconsin Chapter is shaping up to have a great year. We are offering hybrid educational presentations both in-person and via electronic platforms and using social media to spread the word.

  • New Wisconsin GAPNA Facebook site and email reflecting our changes
  • Encouraging membership involvement and spotlight GAPNA at both the local and national levels
  • Encouraging member use of the GAPNA Exchange and awareness of benefits of membership at their fingertips on the GAPNA website.
  • The Annual Chapter Meeting held on June 15 was a success with both virtual and in-person attendance! Contact hours were provided through GAPNA. Door prizes and incentives for those attending (think GAPNA swag) were furnished. Uber Eats gift card was offered for those attending virtually.
