SOPS® Database

The SOPS® Nursing Home Database Will Be Open for Data Submission this Year

The Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research (AHRQ) Surveys on Patient Safety Culture™ (SOPS®) Nursing Home Database is a central repository for survey data from nursing homes that administered the AHRQ survey and choose to submit their data.

It is an important resource for patient safety culture improvement. The database produces a free report of aggregate nursing home-level statistics and results by nursing home characteristics. Each participating nursing home also receives a feedback report comparing their own results to the database.

Participation is open November 2-20, 2020, for nursing homes located in the United States or in a U.S. territory, provided the data are submitted in accordance with the SOPS data file specifications.
