The Health Affairs Committee is pleased to announce Izabela Kazan, MSN, RN, of Chicago has been selected as the recipient of the 2016-2017 GAPNA Health Affairs Scholarship.

We congratulate her on this recognition. Ms. Kazana was selected based on her strong scholarship application describing her ongoing and expanding relationship with GAPNA and her desire to focus on continued health policy learning.

She has been active with the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing (ISAPN), serving as a student representative on the Board of Directors and currently serves as a ISAPN Legislative Captain.

In addition, her engagement with GAPNA includes participation in Chicagoland GAPNA meetings, a member of the Hospice/Palliative Care and Post-Acute Care/Long Term Care SIGs, and currently serves on the Health Affairs Committee.
